Family Planning

Advice on contraception including coil fitting, contraceptive implants, postcoital contraception and ‘the morning after pill’ as well as the provision of free condoms.

We offer a coil fitting/removal service and long acting contraceptive implant/removal service. Please ensure that you request a DOUBLE appointment with either Dr Houghton or Dr Butler.

Antenatal Care

Routine antenatal check-ups by our qualified midwife.

Time: Monday mornings.

Childhood Immunisations

Vaccinations for all children up to age 5 and School Leaver Booster. Please book a double appointment with any of our practice Nurses.

Vaccinations

Routine and travel vaccinations for all ages are available during surgery times by appointment with our nurses. Travel vaccination appointments are a DOUBLE appointment with the nurse.  Nurses are in surgery Monday – Friday.

We run a flu jab clinic in late October. Ask at reception for further information.

Asthma

Regular check-ups and advice from practice nurses on lifestyle, inhaler techniques and medication.

Time: Tuesday and Wednesdays

Minor Surgery

Various Minor surgery procedures can be performed on patients by Dr Ingram and Dr Woollam where hospital admission can be avoided.

Phlebotomist

A Phlebotomist visits the surgery to provide patients with the service without having to travel to hospital.

Time: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9.10 – 11.45am.

Physiotherapy

A physiotherapist attends the surgery providing patients with necessary treatment and advice on referral from the Doctor.

District Nurses

District Nurses provide a service to patients with particular caring needs, especially housebound patients. Telephone 01743 277709
