Marden Medical Practice – Patient Participation DES Action Plans for 2012 to 2014

Year to March 2014

In accordance with the Patient Participation DES for the year April 2013 to March 2014 and after meeting with the Marden Patient Group on Tuesday 11 February 2014 to review the results of the survey completed by the patients of the practice, the following has been agreed as the action plan:

  1.  Request for a clock to be fitted to the waiting room – action completed March 2014.
  2. Request for the surgery to be open over the lunchtime.  The surgery is open during lunch time, however the practice recognises that this information needs to be advertised more – advertise in April 2014 Newsletter.
  3. Request for booking appointments online.  This service is already available via Patient Access; however the practice recognises that the service needs to be advertised more within the surgery  -action to include information in April 2014 Newsletter.
  4. Floor cleaning – robust cleaning plan in place.  Any instances of floors requiring further cleaning may have been deemed as a one off requirement.  No further action as agreed.
  5. Request for the main reception desk to have a presence.  Staff rota exists to accommodate this request – to be actioned by Patient Services Manager for April 2014 onwards.

 

Year to March 2013

In accordance with the Patient Participation DES for the year April 2012 to March 2013 and after meeting with the Marden Patient Group on Tuesday 12 February 2013 to review the results of the survey completed by the patients of the practice, the following has been agreed as the action plan:

  1. Lack of car park facilities – The GPs have invested further funding for 12 additional spaces at the front of the site with an anticipated completion date of April 2013 – Actual completion April 2013
  2. Opening during the lunchtimes – the surgery is now open over the lunchtime period, patients to be informed of this – to include in Practice Newsletter – Actioned
  3. Ability to book online appointments – this service is available; however the practice needs to advertise this service more.    Practice newsletter to include this service. – Actioned
  4. Opening surgery after hours – the Practice already offer this service on one evening per week – this information to be included on website and newsletter – Actioned
  5. Receptionist to be present on front desk – the reception desk needs to be altered to accommodate this request.  Work is planned to be carried out and completed April 2013.

 

Year to March 2012

In accordance with the Patient Participation DES for the year April 2011 to March 2012 and after meeting with the Marden Patient Group on Tuesday 22 February 2012 to review the results of the survey completed by the patients of the practice, the following has been agreed as the action plan:

  1. Inadequate car parking facilities – the GPs are developing the rear car park to increase the number of spaces available.   Work actually completed  May 2012 with an increase in 3 additional spaces.
  2. Pharmacy Services – plan to relocate Rowland’s Pharmacy to the site by Summer/Early Autumn 2012.  Work actually completed July 2012 with the opening of the Pharmacy.
  3. Saturday morning surgery – to be reviewed after completion of work onsite and if and when funding streams become available.

The practice wish to take this opportunity to thank all patients involved with the surveys and in particular the work and support given by Marden Patient Group and Marden Reference Group in the discussions, meetings, agreements reached and publishing of the results of all of the above surveys.
